what is it?
Eil passenger cars are commuter cars that were used by VR Group on the Helsinki commuter rail from 1982 to 2017, and again from 2020. In the 1980s new commuter rolling stock was needed. In the 60s and 70s new electric commuter trains were introduced, but there was still a need for individual cars that could be used with any locomotive and easily used in any configuration needed.
