what is it?
AmeriTram (stylized as ameriTRAM) is the name of a streetcar developed by Kinki Sharyo, a Japanese railway rolling stock manufacturer. Designed for the United States, it is an ultra-low-floor streetcar equipped with the "e-Brid" partial overhead wire-less system, which allows it to run on electricity stored in a rechargeable battery even in sections where overhead wires are not installed. Initially, the prototypes manufactured in 2010 were called LFX-300.
