Recover the WWII munitions dumped in the Baltic and North Seas
Baltic Sea & North Sea
Germany's Baltic pilot recovered about 18 tonnes of sea-dumped munitions in 2024–25, a tiny fraction of what lies on the seabed corroding and leaking toxins. Next steps are an expanded Baltic phase, North Sea clearance and an offshore disposal platform due around end-2028.
