Eradicate Guinea worm disease: stop the last human and animal infections
Chad, Ethiopia, South Sudan, Cameroon, Mali, Angola
Only 10 human Guinea worm cases were reported worldwide in 2025 (Chad 4, Ethiopia 4, South Sudan 2), but 684 animal infections keep transmission alive. Finish containment, water filtration and animal surveillance in the six remaining countries.
