When talking about or to someone older or higher in status, Korean raises them with honorifics.
-(으)세요 (honorific present)
stem + -세요 (vowel) / -으세요 (consonant): 가세요, 읽으세요. Past: -(으)셨어요: 가셨어요. This is also a polite command: 앉으세요 — please sit down.

Honorific nouns and particles
이/가 → 께서, 에게 → 께. 이름 → 성함, 나이 → 연세, 집 → 댁.
Never use honorifics for yourself: 저는 가요, not 저는 가세요.
